Publication of three articles in The Observer and one in The Guardian in January 1961 plus a one hour television programme in March 1961 brought more than 400 letters, many of which were published in this book.  It led to the setting up of MCCH (later called NAWCH) now Action for Sick Children to work for the implementation of the Platt Report.
